PowerPoint Presentations for Degrees of Comparisons

One of the important uses of language is to enable us to compare people - ordinary or famous personalities - things like, films, houses, furniture, sports and the like and express our ideas precisely and effectively. The degrees of comparison in English include the Positive, Comparative and Superlative Degrees. For example you can say,

Investing in this real estate deal is not as profitable as in my home town.

Here you are using the positive degree of comparison. You can say it using the comparative degree:

Investing in real estate in my home town is more profitable than investing here.

The superlative degree is used when you compare more than two.

I have been considering a number of real estate deals. Finally, I have struck the most profitable real estate deal.

Here are some interactive exercises for Degrees of Comparisons prepared by M. A. ELT students of Gujarat.
