Interactive Grammar Exercises Through Multimedia

Different types of interactive exercises can be prepared using Microsoft PowerPoint. Very simple matching and fill in the blanks exercises can be prepared using the custom animation by making the lines and words appear at the click of the mouse. Audio and video materials can be inserted in the form of avi files and exercises could be based on them. The  answers and feedback could be included in the same slide or the next slide.  These can be used by teachers as multimedia aids to teach specific grammar items or by students as self learning materials.

Learn How to Prepare Interactive Grammar Presentations

At the teacher education level, by making the teacher-learners or student teachers prepare such exercises we can make them research specific items, improve their own grammatical competence as well as learn to teach these items to their students.  They could be asked to make a list of websites offering interactive grammar exercises for the specific items chosen by them.
